The Corporate Development and Strategy group at Global Payments consists of six professionals located in Atlanta, Georgia (Global's headquarters), and London, United Kingdom. This group is responsible for the company?s merger and acquisition strategy (particularly in international markets) and the development of the company's overall strategic plan and initiatives. Job Description

Human Resources Manager, ASEAN

Job Responsibilities:

The position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Reports to the Director of Human Resources, this role will initially act as the HR business partner for Malaysia and will expand to more south Asia countries including Brunei, Philippines and Singapore. We are planning to build our operation centre in Malaysia and will have to provide on all rounded HR support to facilitate the project. Expectations for this role:

  • understand the business requirements and provide HR support for the newly setup operation centre
  • formulate and enforce employment policies and practices to comply with the corporate policy and applicable legislation
  • accountable for managing payroll process, compensation recommendation for promotion/new hires, Group Benefits Programs and Insurance schemes administration to ensure operational effectiveness and meet diverse needs of internal business units
  • provide HR advice and support in all HR related matters to the business changes focusing in expansion, and managing recruitment activities
  • undertake recruitment tasks including screening and conducting interview for all level
  • supervise, coach and motivate the day-to-day operation of HR functions to subordinates to deliver excellent HR services
  • keep track of the updated HR-related regulations and practices in the market and revise HR strategies & policies to match the trend and full compliance with government regulations and corporate audit requirements 
  • develop and ensure human resource data management flow, accuracy and consistency of information between ASEAN offices and Asia Pacific Regional Headquarter of Hong Kong office
  • Special projects on all employees related matters

Individual Requirements:

  • A degree in business, psychology or sociology and/or Human Resources Management
  • A keen interest in business
  • At least 5 to 8 years in a regional role to cover HR operations
  • Complete confidence in all aspects of recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing and checking candidate references
  • Superior computer skills (including Microsoft applications and Internet sourcing)
  • Fluency in English
