Job Specific Knowledge and Experience

·           BE/MS in Mechanical Engineering

·           3-8 yrs in Capital Equipment / Automotive / Heavy Mechanical Industry

·           Solar, Semiconductor, Glass experience preferred

·           Preference for candidates with ground up design experience

·           Strong ProE background preferred

·           Experience working on UG, TCE will be a plus

·           Team lead experience would be desirable

·           Prior experience working with on-site European client would be a plus

Responsibilities

·           Perform engineering design support on module and components

·           Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision

·           Generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product release

·           Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues

·           Troubleshoot a variety of moderate mechanical problems

·           Implement concepts for product issues and mechanical solutions of moderate difficulty

·           Assist in development of mechanical product specifications

·           With supervision, establish task priorities

·           Collaborate with Applied Materials engineers world wide

·           May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle
